FRIDAY FAVS – MAY 5, 2023
Good morning and happy fabulous Friday everyone!!! I can’t wait to share my Friday Favs for the week of MAY 5, 2023.
FRIDAY FAV #1: SUMMER BEACH WAVES- I bought this deep waver on Amazon a couple months ago and I have been so scared to use it. Finally about a month ago I pulled her out of the box and gave it a try. I hate doing my hair everyday, if I would have known how well these curls stay, I would have ordered this and years ago. I have a full tutorial [HERE] with a video. I think this is such a beautiful curl and will be perfect for summer because it’s like a natural beach wave.
FRIDAY FAV#2: GRAPHIC TEE QUEEN OBSESSED- I’m sure y’all know by now that I’m graphic tee obsessed. I will find a graphic tee that fits perfectly with any event I will be attending, or an upcoming holiday or season. I recently bought a couple of new ones and I’m slightly in love. Currently, smiley faces are all the rave so of course I found a couple of shirts with fun smilies. Summer time is the perfect time for graphic tees also, whether you put them with shorts or even over your swimsuit, they are just a staple. I’m obsessed with all of these. [LINKED HERE]
FRIDAY FAV #3: TEACHER APPRECIATION! Teacher appreciation is next week- The week of May 8-May 12, 2023. I might be slightly bias but the Teacher Appreciation gifts I created and crafted this year for our faculty and staff are PERFECT. If you missed them [CLICK HERE]. Fun fact, when I was little I wanted to be a teacher. My grandma was a teacher when I was growing up and I went to her classroom before and after school. I continued to hang out with her in my teenager years to help her with bulletin boards and whatever other projects she was doing. After graduating high school, I went to college and majored in education. During that time I started working at an MDO(Mother’s Day out) part time and I quickly decided that teaching wasn’t for me! These teachers do NOT get paid enough for the stuff they have endure. They truly have my heart as I feel like they are in the most under-appreciated profession. I try to show them love anyway possible throughout the year. Some easy things I do for them are:
- Bring a teacher lunch (when I’m bringing lunch for my son)
- Send a note of thanks from me or my son
- Send a small gift card at random times
- Send some of the teacher’s favorite snacks (don’t know their favorites? Use my handy printout to find out)
- Gift an age appropriate book for their classroom
- Ask to come and help out with whatever they need for an hour
- Send them a gift spirit wear for the school
- Send in school supplies, tissues or other items that you know they stock in the class or may need
What are your favorites this week??? Let me know if you try any of my favorites! I will see y’all next Friday to share my favorites for the week!
xoxo
