DIY Pencil Floral Arrangement for Teacher

The time has come to spoil our teachers and show our love and appreciation for these magical people who teach and guide our children. Teacher Appreciation always falls on the first full week of May, this year it happens to be the week of May 8-12, 2023. No gift is too big or too small. Something I always like to include is a thank you note from my child to their teacher. Gift giving is clearly one of the ways that I express love to others. This DIY pencil floral arrangement takes your basic floral arrangement from drab to shab – TEACHER STYLE! It’s the ultimate floral arrangement for teachers.

When gifting to your teachers you always want to make sure that you have their “FAVORITES”. If you are wondering what I mean and how can you find out what they love – I got you! [LINKED HERE]. Print this sheet out and give it to your teacher and gift giving just got A WHOLE LOT easier! Look when I like to gift… I LIKE TO GIFT. This list takes the guessing out of the gifting game! If you want to be a little extra in your gift you can include one of their favorites with one of my many DIY teacher appreciation crafts. Add a thank you card, a gift card, or any of their favorite things to your craft. I have a slight obsession with spoiling our teachers, administrators and staff.

SUPPLIES:

  1. PENCILS (you want non sharpened pencils)-3 cases of the 24pack if you use the glass vase below
  2. GLASS VASE
  3. HOT GLUE GUN
  4. HOT GLUE STICKS
  5. FLOWERS ( I went with faux florals so they could save them throughout the years-found them at Hobby Lobby)
  6. Ribbon- Both found at Hobby Lobby- purple dupe

STEPS:

  1. Make sure your glass is clean so the hot glue adheres well to the glass.
  2. Hot Glue your pencils to the glass jar and continue around the entire vase being sure to keep the ends lined up with the top and bottom.
  3. Fill your vase with flowers.
  4. Add ribbon around the pencils for a splash of “extraness” & bonus a gift card if you want.
