Teacher Gift Idea- Personalized Door Hanger

I cannot stop creating and gifting for these magical people of the world we call Teachers! This year I did a few different DIYs, but while in Dollar General I came across these chalk boards and scrabble pieces. My instant thought was to create a DIY Personalized Door Hanger. The total cost for a gift like this is under $5, I think it’s sweet and thoughtful!

Every year I have this uncontrollable urge to craft something thoughtful for our teachers and office staff workers at my sons’ schools. I have created a wide variety of ideas that you can find here: [CLICK HERE]. Make sure you subscribe to my blog so you never miss one of these fun blog posts!

I don’t care what anyone says, these teachers deserve all the appreciation and I think it’s important that my kids see the importance of showing appreciation! I honestly wish I could gift them something every day of the year. This DIY is not only fun and inexpensive, it’s thoughtful. I love a thoughtful gift because I think it means a lot when you take time out of your day to create something for someone. TIP: Always make sure to write your child’s name and school year on the back of the gift so the teacher can remember who it was from for years to come. Also, I always include a hand written note from my son which I feel is a special touch that teachers appreciate. It seems that a teacher’s job gets harder and harder each year and having a heartfelt note from a student can sometimes turn around their day.
