EPIC SUPER MARIO THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY

If you follow me on social media you have seen that I’ve been documenting all the prep we have done to prepare for Christian’s Super Mario themed birthday party. We have been working so hard on all the fine details to make this party the most perfect and EPIC Super Mario themed birthday party EVER! Below you will find all the links for the items that I used to decorate and info from the local companies I worked with (I live in Northwest Houston area). BONUS: video tutorials on a few Items I made for the party.

True story… at the end of the party kids were hiding from their parents because they didn’t want to go. I WOULD CALL THAT A SUCCESS! I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool MOM and I think this party increased my status with the 10 year olds!

I want to highlight a few of the amazing companies I had the pleasure of working with to make this party a huge success. Below I share all of their info if you are interested in using them for your festivities. Please fill free to contact any of them and tell them I sent you! If you have any questions for me please reach out to me, I’m always here to help.

BALLOONS! BALLOONS! BALLLOOONSSS!!!

Balloon arches, as we all know, are all the rave right now and they are such a fun and adorable addition to any party. The best part about balloon arches is that they can be created with your color theme. While researching balloon companies, I came across The Balloon Queen’s page on Instagram I was so impressed with her work. Follow her here – THE BALLOON QUEEN. Amanda is a full-time working mom who clearly handles her time very well. She was so sweet and easy to work with on this party. I found some inspo on Pinterest and she made my vision come to life. I LOVE the different variations and sizes of the balloons! Amanda did an incredible job and I highly recommend her!

LIGHT UP LETTERS & NUMBERS!!! C.A.D.D.IT

Since 10 is an epic number… DOUBLE DIGITS Y’ALL….I knew I wanted some light-up marquee numbers. I found a local gentleman on FACEBOOK marketplace and his prices WERE MIND BLOWING! In the past I’ve looked into renting these and they were upward of $150 a LETTER.. umm NO THANK YOU! Israel is a local dad and has a fun story on how he got started. He was throwing his daughter her Quinceanera and she wanted some light-up numbers, so he figured why rent them when he could build them. Next thing he knew, he had friends and family who wanted to rent them, so he started to make more letters and numbers… now with a full alphabet and all the numbers (even duplicates) he has a flourishing business and rents them out. His numbers and letters are 42″ tall and 2ft’ wide. I love that he is willing to work with you on your specific needs too. He was easy to work with and so kind! I look forward to renting A LOT more letters from him in the future. Go Follow Israel’s business page @C.A.D.D.IT. He does marquee letter and number rentals, homemade crafts, outdoor tv cabinets and more!

COOKIE MONSTER!

My friend Caitlin, who I have known for literally my entire life, is beyond talented. Busy working mom of 2, does decorative cookies on the side, and personally I think she needs her own bakery! Not only are they delicious but they are beautiful. I have used her for a few events over the years and they are always the hit of the party! Her company is called Shamrocking Cookies and here is HER ACCOUNT. She does custom cookie orders and is in Northwest Houston area. I mean look at the details y’all! AH-MAZING!

WATER SLIDE by BOUNCE AROUND RENTALS

Since it was a “Pool Party” and I invited about 60 kids I was a worried about a few things. I was worried some might not be comfortable swimmers so I thought the bounce house was a fun alternative. Also if 60 kids truly showed up I was a little concerned we would be over MAX capacity in our pool! One of my favorite things about an open front bounce house is when the kids get off and get back on they don’t drag their grassy and muddy feet into the bounce house making the water in the slide GROSS! I found this local company on Facebook marketplace and they had a bunch of options. I went with the single slide and red, of course, but they have so many options to pick from. One big seller for me on this company is that they let you keep the bounce house overnight. So it was fun for all the kids during the party and then we had a fun family “after party.” Their company is called Bounce Around Rentals. They were quick to reply, had great customer service, and answered all my questions. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING TO ME. Check out Bounce Around Rentals’ website and their Facebook page.

If you have been following along on my daily vlogs on social media I have been sharing all the things that went into planning this party. From the cleaning, to painting the baseboards (WHAT WAS I THINKING!?!), and of course the fun DIY’S we did for the party. Now, for most of the decor I did purchase it from either Amazon, Walmart, Party city, Etsy and Dollar Tree. I will link everything I can below for you, but I will be honest Amazon and Etsy had the BEST Mario options!

I hope this blog post is informative and that you find inspiration to plan your own “Mario Themed” Party. I found it so fun and rewarding to document the prep work and watch it all come together. If you have any questions, please fill free to ask. I have more pictures & videos below for additional inspiration.
