FRIDAY FAVS – April 28, 2023
Good morning and happy fabulous Friday everyone!!! I can’t wait to share my Friday Favs for the week of April 28, 2023! It’s been a jam packed week full of Teacher Appreciation DIYS. If you missed any… they are [LINKED HERE].
For starters, I want to share a few movies and shows that we watched this week with my honest reviews:
- From – Season 2: Season 1 of From is available on Amazon Prime. We LOVED season 1 and couldn’t wait to watch season 2 which just came out on MGM Plus (subscription needed). I will say the first episode of season 2 was a little slow, but the first season was so good I didn’t want to wait for it to drop on Amazon Prime so we subscribed to MGM Plus and dove in. I’m hoping the next episodes will be better than the first!
- Murder Mystery 2 on Netflix: This was OKAY. I feel like we are hard critics, but we weren’t impressed with this movie starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. The first Murder Mystery (2019) was way better IMO.
- A Friend of the Family on Peacock: This is a limited mini series on Peacock with nine episodes. It’s based on true story about a family friend that kidnaps a young girl multiple times. This story was also featured in a documentary on Netflix awhile back called Abducted in Plain Sight. I was honestly a bit disturbed by this show as it is very dark and twisted. I have a hard time understanding how people can do this type of thing and be so manipulative. Definitely not something for children to watch.
- John Wick Chapter 4 : We took a trip to the movie theater to see John Wick Chapter 4 and our family had different opinions on this. Christian (my 10 year old) and I thought it was TERRRRRIBLE. The older boys loved it, but Christian and I were bored out of our minds. The fight scenes were so drawn out and cheesy! This movie is a NO from me!
This week while doing a lot of crafting and nonsense work around the house, I have been watching Pretty Little Liars. I cannot stand a quiet house… I like to have shows on that I’ve seen before so I’m not trying to stop what I’m doing to watch. My go-to shows are typically The Office, Parks and Rec and Gilmore Girls. Throw your favorite shows to watch over and over again in the comments!
FRIDAY FAV#1: AMAZON SUNNIES – This week we finally had some pretty sunshine here in Texas. I feel like it has been cloudy and yucky for months so I haven’t had a chance to use or appreciate my favorite Amazon sunnies! While wearing them this week I forgot how much I love them and, oddly enough, while wearing them in my stories the DMs were flooding in asking for links. I have two pairs that are my personal favorites and have linked them both here. I am the worst when it comes to sunglasses, I lose them, I break them, I scratch them. So I hate to waste money on designer brands because they will be ruined in days. I don’t really like buying sunnies at Walmart or Target because I personally fall in love with my sunglasses and then when I lose them I cannot find them again in the stores. The joy about Amazon is that the items are ALWAYS there. LOL… YOU SERIOUSLY KNOW WHAT I MEAN RIGHT!?! Anyways… I’ve linked them below.
FRIDAY FAV#2: HART GLUE GUN- When you upgrade from a corded hot glue gun to a CORDLESS hot glue gun you go from rookie crafter to a veteran. If you didn’t know, I am a Hart Ambassador so of course I’m pro Hart tools. There are a few other cordless HOT GLUE guns out there that I will link below, and although I can’t speak for those others brands, I imagine they are all the same. But I love my Hart glue gun! We have so many Hart tools that use the 20v batteries I’m able to just pop on one of my already charged batteries and get to crafting. I literally will craft all over my house, from living room, dining room, and this week I did my teacher DIYs on the kitchen counter. A cordless glue gun is a game changer in the crafting world!
FRIDAY FAV#3: MUST HAVE LIPSTICK- My most requested DM of all time is about my lipstick! This week I tried a new color so I wanted to share! I swear I have tried every brand on the market from Sephora to Ulta and NOTHING compares to these $7 Maybelline liquid matte lipsticks. Their little catch phrase “all day long all day strong” is spot on! THEY AREN’T LYING! I can’t even get this lipstick off with face wash, I have to use my go-to facial wipes to get it off. I apply 1 coat in the morning and it will last literally until the next day… I CAN SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE! I have a hand full of colors of Maybelline lipsticks, different ones for the seasons, but this brand lipstick is the only lipstick I wear. The last thing I want to do is reapply lipstick all day!
