Friday Favs – March 3, 2023

Good morning everyone!!! I am so excited to share my favorite items from this week. If you are new here, every Friday I share my personal favorite items for the week. It’s a wide variety of random things, but basically it’s something that has made my life easier, or something pretty I’ve enjoyed viewing, or something comfy I’ve been wearing. These things are just a staple in my life and I love them so much I cannot wait to share them with the world and how they have benefited me.

#1. WALL SCONCES. I found these on Amazon while decorating Dalton’s room. Lighting is one of the most important elements when designing a space. These have a plug so it serves as the perfect mood lighting and it keeps clutter off the night stand. I love the chic design of a clean nightstand. Dalton’s room is right off the living room and everyday I just stand and stare at all its beauty. [FULL BEDROOM VIEW HERE] These sconces come in black or antique brass. I ordered the antique brass color and I love the touch of vintage elegance it adds to this space. My house is filled with different wall sconces and they are definitely on trend right now. Wall sconces are one of the earliest forms of lighting fixture and have been around for hundreds of years.

#2. AMAZON LEGGINGS. I am a leggings girl.. all day everyday. I have recently gained some weight and unfortunately all the leggings I had just didn’t work anymore. I honestly loved them, but the problem with them was they rolled down by belly. Literally just walking around my house they just roll down. I had seen ALLLLL over Tik Tok women raving about this one brand. They were comparing the texture to LuLulemon’s leggings texture. I have to say LULU is new to me and I love them specifically because of the texture, but again they now roll down as I am walking around. I figured why not try the Amazon leggings, so I ordered two pair.. I ordered one with pockets and and one without. Y’ALL…. these are the magic leggings! The wide band holds in my belly and DOES NOT ROLL! THEY ARE THE BEST EVER! I do have a full blog post with more detail on the material and sizing info here if you are interested.

#3. SELF TANNING LOTION. I’m going to start by saying that I have tried so many of these gradual tanning lotions and they just don’t work. I was “influenced” by another influencer to try this one and I was sold especially because it was on sale! Well… the verdict is in… I am obsessed! The application itself gives you a shimmering glow and it stays until washed off. After one application it looked like I had a spray tan. It is absolutely beautiful and is the best stuff I have ever tried. It is on super sale right now at HSN so I’m thinking about buying another bottle while it’s on sale! ALSO!!! To apply you want to literally put it all over your body. What I love was, unlike self tanners or spray tans, it doesn’t come off on your clothes or bed sheets. Just make sure to WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER APPLYING! The lotion not only moisturizers your skin but it contains Vitamin E, oils (including sweet almond, raspberry seed, oat kernel, and sunflower) shea butter, cocoa butter and other key ingredients. This stuff makes my skin feels buttery soft… like those buttery soft amazing leggings. As far as the smell, it doesn’t smell terrible, in fact I love the smell because it gives me summer vibes, but again after washing it off the smell fades but the TAN DOESN’T!

#4. PORTABLE PHONE CHARGER. This last weekend we went on a trip and were out and about all day exploring San Antonio. By about noon my phone was already dying due to all the excessive photos and videos I was taking. Thank goodness for my IWalk. My favorite part about this super compact charger (it’s the size of lipstick) is I can still use my phone and I don’t need cords. The iwalk slides right into your charge port and that is it. It is just so convenient and it can’t get any easier than that. There are multiple difference color options (Black, blue, teal, pink, red and white).. of course I have pink.
