COMFIEST MUST HAVE LEGGINGS from AMAZON
If you know know me you know that leggings are my best friend. Probably because I’m a bigger girl and jeans are just a NO! So I’m always looking for the comfiest leggings. I feel like I have tried so many from cheap ones to expensive ones and I have never found my go to pair UNTIL NOW! I found these buttery soft leggings on Amazon. I saw people raving about them online and I figured why not… let’s see what the hype is all about. WELL THE HYPE IS REAL.
So.. story time. Last year I was influenced by a friend and finally bought my first set of Lululemons. I will say they WERE (KEY WORD-WERE-PAST TENSE) the most comfortable pair of leggings I had ever worn. They had that buttery soft texture. But…I realized quickly, while walking or workout out they roll down and slide down my belly. So $100 for a pair of leggings wasn’t worth it. I’m sure if you are a slimmer girl they work out great. So back on the hunt I was. I saw all over Tik Tok everyone talking about these “Lululemon dups” from Amazon. So I figured, what do I have to lose?
I started walking and working out again so I needed to find something that was comfortable and passed all of my tests. We will get into those…. I ordered one of the Amazon leggings to try … y’all I cannot even tell the difference between the amazing ones and the Lululemon with texture. I don’t know a lot about Lululemon… but what I do know is the LuLu Align-High-Rise were my favorite fit and these AMAZON leggings are exactly identical.
So if we are going to get into science here on the materials.. let’s learn something together. I literally looked this up to add to this blog post. So the material for the lululemon is: 80% Nylon & 20%Lycra. The Amazon leggings are: 81% Polyamide, 19% Lycra. Now you best believe I had to Google those words because that description went way over my head. LOL! Per Google: “The key difference between nylon (LULULEMONS MATERIAL) and polyamide (AMAZON MATERIAL) is that nylon is a synthetic material, whereas polyamides can be either natural or synthetic. Moreover, nylon has great resistance against moisture and rain while polyamide has less resistance.”
ALSO.. I Googled which is the better material of the two fabrics…
GOOGLE’S RESPONSE:
“Natural polyamides (AMAZON LEGGINGS MATERIAL), are breathable, and all types have a lot of elasticity. Therefore, it’s easy to move around seamlessly and swiftly in a survival scenario. Nylon (LULULEMON MATERIAL), on the other hand, is less breathable but far more elastic. It’s also more prone to wrinkle than the other fabrics.”
So… now that I just threw all that information at you … in my opinion for the price the Amazon leggings are the best bang for your buck. Lululemon leggings are $98-$118 depending on the color. The Amazon Leggings are A 1/4 OF THAT PRICE . One of my favorite things about the Amazon leggings is that they offer different lengths like LuluLemon does. Since I’m a bigger girl, typically I like the length of the pants to be longer. They have 3 different sizes: 17″, 21″ & 23″. The 23″ and 21″ fit me perfect and fit exactly above my ankle like a legging should. I also wear a large, so these do run very true to size.
Remember those “Tests” I was telling you about? Okay… so my first test is what I call the “bend over test.” Basically I go in some natural light and bend over and husband tells me if my pants are see-thru. You would be amazed at some of the leggings I’ve bought and I swear they aren’t see thru… BUT THEY ARE. I do have an oversized butt so I’m sure that is definitely a factor in why they become see thru, but if it doesn’t pass the bend over test then they are an instant no for me! I was so pleased to find out these passed with flying colors. The next test is the roll down test. Again so many leggings I’ve purchased roll down my belly…it’s so annoying. It’s NOT ATTRACTIVE to be in the middle of Zumba and constantly pulling up my pants! These Amazon leggings do not BUDGE! The thick elastic and high wasted pants stay in place all day!
I ended up buying a 2nd pair that have pockets. Everything about them fits the same but they just have a small slender pocket on each side of the hip. I love these for if I’m doing stuff around the house or walking around the subdivision. I can slide my phone right in the pocket. If you order these and try them please let me know what you think.
