AUGUST- BROTHERS BOYS NIGHT

So last month when I was setting up for my husband and I’s date night, Hunter said, “Mom what if we had a Brother’s Date Night”? I told him that was a brilliant idea. So the plan is every month when my husband and I have an at-home date night I will set something up for the boys to do too with just them. Just like our date nights, it will be different and fun for them.

I am excited that the boys have one designated night each month that they have each other’s undivided attention. A night that they can bond and connect and make memories. This is our first time doing this so things might change in a couple of months but for now, this is the monthly plan.

AUGUST BROTHERS BOYS NIGHT

FOOD:

Considering this was our first night and I’m clueless as to what to do… I decided to keep it simple. I decided to set up a fun DIY pizza party for them.

ENTERTAINMENT: I decided to try to build an awesome fort. Originally I was going to use our tent from the garage for camping but again decided to keep it super simple. My husband helped me hang twine from the wall with a twist c-hook. I just used our king white top sheet to hang over the twine and BOOM you have an awesome easy peasy fort. The kids are obsessed and asked if we could keep it up after tonight.

The boys are now currently enjoying their homemade pizza with coke floats and relaxing in their tent watching Venom. They said they can’t wait for next month. I would say all in all… planning this last night I would say this was a huge success!
