Peeps Smores Dip

I don’t know what it is about bout peeps but peeps just get me in the mood for Easter. It is basically the mascot for Easter. Like Santa Clause for Christmas. To be completely honest I’m not a super fan of Peeps, just eating them by themselves, but this dish hear was amazing! It is such a unique way to eat peeps and the kids loved dipping the graham Crackers into it.

Serving Size:
8
Time:
10 Min
Difficulty:
EASY

Ingredients

  • 9 x 9-inch square baking dish
  • butter or Crisco for greasing
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (18 ounces)
  • 18 Peeps bunny s’mores in variety of colors

Directions

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 450
  2. Spray cooking oil on pan
  3. Start adding chocolate chips. We choose to use the dairy free chocolate chips.
  4. Add peeps on top of chocolate chips. If you use a 9×9 baking dish 18 will fit perfectly. A variety of colors makes it super fun.
  5. Place the dish in the oven and make sure to monitor the peeps. You only want to bake the peeps until they become a light brown/ gold color. They will expand and crack and even eyes fade away so do not panic. Shouldn’t take more than just 5-7 minutes.
  6. Best if served warm with graham crackers for the perfect smores effect, or anything else you might like to dip with… for example pretzels.

Every year we usually always do something for Easter and get together with the family and I love to show up to those events and parties with a new dish and something extra and VERY FESTIVE. This dip is defiantly best served warm, so even if you went to someones house you could just warm this up in the oven upon arrival.

This dish would be fun with different variations of colors peeps or as is. There are so many different flavored peeps now too that might be delicious on top of these chocolates. But if you have a certain color scheme you go with for easter you could just do those color peeps.

They sell eatable marker… so if you don’t like that the eyes melt off/away you would just re dot the eyes on the peeps.I personally love how it looks now but it is defiantly an option. We cooked this last year and it was gone with all the kids what seemed like in minutes. I love coming up with new festive dishes every year.. so stay tuned to see what I come up with this year!

Thanks for reading and watching! Tag me in your creations… I love to see what y’all create!
