Ingredients
Instructions
- Melt butter into a large pot on medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until onions have light brown edges (don’t over cook)
- Stir in the flour creating a roux.
- Temp: medium low-Add in chicken broth and stir constantly while pouring with whisk.
- Temp: medium low-Add in half and half and stir constantly while pouring with whisk.
- Cook soup on Medium and let soup come to a slow bubble- reduce heat to low
- Add in broccoli florets and shredded carrots and cook for about 15 minutes- stir frequently.
- Add in salt and cheese and stir and let cook for additional 5 minutes on low.
- Add in bread bowl for Panera Bread yummy extraness.
