DIY 2025 Reading List BookMarks: Free PRINTABLE
This year, Iโve fallen in love with something that has completely transformed my free time, my anxiety, and even my creative spark: reading. Iโm 38 years old, and until this past Christmas break, I wasnโt much of a reader. Honestly, the only books I could make it through were self-help books, and even those were a struggle. But over the holidays, something clicked. I thought to myself, โIf I love Christmas and Hallmark movies so much, surely thereโs a book out there that would bring me the same joy.โ
And I was right. I found my first book (a cozy holiday rom-com) Codi Halls, “Along Came Holly”, and suddenly, I was hooked. I couldnโt put it down. Since then, reading has become myย escape, myย therapy, and my way of finding balance amidst the busyness of life. Itโs been so good for my anxiety, helping me unwind and reconnect with myself in a way I didnโt know I needed.
Not only have I discovered the genres I loveโcozy rom-coms, a bit of spice, and books that feel like a Hallmark movie on paperโbut Iโve also found a whole new creative outlet. Iโm even dreaming of writing my own rom-com one day (stay tuned for that!).
Reading has become such a huge part of my life that I wanted to find a fun and creative way to keep track of the books Iโve read. Thatโs how thisย 2025 Reading List Bookmark DIYย was born. And the best part?ย You can do this for FREEย with my printable PDF below! Whether youโre a seasoned bookworm or just discovering your love of reading like I am, these bookmarks are a beautiful and functional way to stay organized while enjoying your reading journey.
Free Printable: Why I Created These Bookmarks
As I started reading more, I realized I needed a way to keep track of all the books Iโve readโand, of course, give them a little rating! Of course I have Book Reads- but I wanted something tangable- PS- follow me on Good Reads. Theseย 2025 Reading List Bookmarksย are double-sided, so you can write down each bookโs title and give it a star rating right on the bookmark. Not only are they practical, but theyโre also fun to make and can even be customized to match your personality.
The best part? Iโm sharing the printable PDF with you for FREE so you can easily create your own bookmarks at home. Itโs such a simple and satisfying project, and itโs perfect for anyone who loves to DIY.
These bookmarks are also perfect for pairing with myย DIY Blind Date with a Bookย idea, where you wrap up a book with a little mystery and let the recipient fall in love with the story without any preconceived notions. (More on that laterโtrust me, itโs such a fun gift idea!)

โข Brightly colored cardstock for a fun and vibrant style

How to Make Your Free Bookmarks
1. Download the FREE PDF: Scroll down to download the free printable PDF, which includes both vintage blue and black designs.
2. Print Your Bookmarks: For a classic look, use cream-colored cardstock with the blue design. For something bold, print the black design on colorful cardstock.
3. Cut Them Out: Use a mini paper cutter for clean, even edges. This is the tool I used, and it made the process so much easier and more precise.
4. Optional Lamination: If you want your bookmarks to last all year, consider laminating them when they are completed. (I’m going to add mine to my 2025 junk journal when complete.
5. Add Tassels (Optional): Punch a hole at the top of the bookmark and tie on a tassel for an extra touch.
This entire process is simple, quick, and, most importantly, FREE, thanks to the printable PDF!
Gift Idea: Blind Date with a Book
If youโre looking for a unique and thoughtful gift idea, pair these bookmarks with aย Blind Date with a Book! This idea has become one of my favorites for spreading the love of reading.
Hereโs how it works:
1. Choose a book you think your recipient will enjoy.
2. Wrap it in plain kraft paper or decorative wrapping.
3. Add a fun note with hints about the book (e.g., โA cozy love story with a surprising twist!โ).
4. Include one of these handmade bookmarks to make the gift even more special.
